He is Commercial Director at Vigan Engineering – a company active in the construction of installations for (un)loading ships, especially grains, in the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Africa – and has an extensive commercial network.

Suzy Renckens graduated as an engineer in Chemical and Agro-industries and has a Ph.D. in Applied Biological Sciences. Over the course of her career, she has acquired extensive experience in biotechnology regulatory and governmental affairs working in both the public and private sectors. She held leading positions at the Belgian Scientific Institute of Public Health, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and global agtech company Syngenta. She is an expert in agricultural biotechnology, food safety, regulatory advocacy, regulatory procedures and consultancy within the European Union. At the Bio-based Industries Consortium she advocated for the development of a sustainable bio-based industry sector in Europe.
